Analogue Baby

analoguebaby.com

HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, & PHP

Analogue Baby is a premium audio studio/mixing facility based in Liverpool focusing on film and game scoring. This is their website.

When Analogue Baby approached me in 2010, they were looking specifically for something a little different: something fresh, exciting, and with a strong image to help differentiate themselves from the crowd. Through their own research they had come to the conclusion that the websites of their contemporary competitors had a number of similar traits and qualities; all of which they were very keen to avoid.

Whereas competitor websites appeared as a bit of a rushed after-thought, Analogue Baby wanted a website that would to form a key part of their overall identity: to use their passion and knowledge to drive the design and development of something that they could be genuinely proud of and to serve as a talking point within the industry to attract clients. They wanted a quirky, unusual, a strong marketing tool.

Pairing-up with the very talented Mike Etheridge of Licks Creative to get that quirky and edgy feel in the design that they required, I then built the website up from his designs and concepts. Part of the intention of the site is to provide a different feel and experience through the use of unusual features. This is a website which almost requires a little exploration.

Utilising the latest front-end technologies available at the time, we delivered an interactive and highly-visual HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery-powered website which attracted thousands of visitors during the first month, won a number of design/development awards, and continues to compete strongly against longer-established and bigger-nameed competitors in search listings today.

It is undeniably very different to any other studio website we have ever seen!
