Shire Kidney Wellbeing
xHTML, CSS, & jQuery
The Lawrence Keogh Shire Kidney Care website was originally launched in 2010 as a quick-and-simple holding page whilst a more comprehensive site was built. However, the pared-back version proved so popular that - with a little further development - it has been active for the past seven years.
The original holding page was extended to give a one-page style feel with AJAX-loaded and overlaid content. This displays a modal styled as a recipe-book which contains a selection of recipes curated by Lawrence Keogh, and suitable for suffers of kidney disease. There is also a mechanism to allow visitors to submit their own recipes for publication on the site, and to and subscribe for future updates.
Built in xHTML, CSS, and jQuery, the front-end for this project was incorporated into a .NET back-end which allows control of content, and manages form inputs.
